One of the most popular gaming titles of 2020, Animal Crossing New Horizons has finally been released on Nintendo Switch. The game comes under the Social simulation genre. In the game, players take the role of a customizable character who moves to a deserted island after purchasing a vacation package from Tom Nook.

Coming to the topic, many players are currently facing an issue with the crossing of the river. Well, getting across the river is not too hard. You need a Vaulting Pole to cross the river, which can be obtained on the second full day on the island.

To get a Vaulting Pole, the first thing that players need to do, is to catch five different bugs or fish. It doesn’t matter which ones you catch, it should be unique ones. You can also catch a mix of them. Fish can be caught a lot more easily than a bug.

Once you have five unique items, you are required to bring them to the green tent & hand it over to Nook. Tom Nook will be so happy that he will call his friend, Blathers who is an owl that runs the museum.

You are required to place down Blathers tent, which will eventually become a museum. After placing the tent, Blathers will be inbound to the location, but will not arrive immediately.

Players are required to wait a full day to return back to the tent & interact with them. Once, you have waited for a day, you can go back to the tent and talk to Blathers. He will provide you with the DIY plans, that you need to create a vaulting pole.

Once received, you need to read the plans & head over to the crafting table. The first vaulting pole you get access to will cost you 5 softwood to craft, so make sure to chop some trees beforehand.

Once you have a crafted a vaulting pole, you can cross the river with the help of it.
