SCS has yet to announce the release date of the Louisiana DLC for American Truck Simulator. However, it’s expected to release soon after the Iowa DLC. Apart from the release date, there is a lot more to discuss this upcoming release. A new map and location will be featured based on the state of Louisiana. New cities like Lafayette, Houma, Monroe, New Orleans, Baton Rouge and settlements such as Tallulah, Winnfield, Mansfield, and Oberlin will be added. There will also be new assets like truck stops, rest stops, and weigh stations. The diverse landscape and iconic landmarks of Louisiana, such as the Mississippi River delta and the marshlands, will be included as well.
American Truck Simulator Louisiana DLC Release Date, New map & locations
In its official blog post dated 15 July 2025, SCS has poetically described the area of Louisiana.
Louisiana’s lakes, rivers, swamps, bayous, and forests showcase a remarkable variety of landscapes. The state is bordered by Texas to the west, Arkansas to the north, Mississippi to the east, and the Gulf of Mexico to the south. It’s expected to be a big shift from some of the landscapes in previous map expansions. The Pelican State’s terrain is broadly divided into three distinct regions: dense forests, sweeping prairies, and expansive marshlands, each offering its unique scenery and atmosphere.
From shadowy swamps with cypress trees to sunlit marshes, the bayou region near the southern coast is home to unique wildlife, including a variety of bird species and alligators. The LA-82 will offer a scenic drive through this natural wonder.
Upon venturing further north, you will discover the Red River valley, which has a low-elevation relief and typically features red soil. In the northern part of the state, while driving along the I-20, you will mainly encounter some hilly terrain.
This is all the information currently available about the scenic beauty of this latest map expansion and the cities that will be included. We will keep you updated on this in case SCS drops any hints about the release dates or other features. Till then, stay tuned to Digistatement.
