Borderland 3 is giving the best chance to for scoring more in a new Rare Chest Riches mini-event. With the end of the current Farming Frenzy and Takedown at the Maiwan Blacksite event, the mini-event is live in the game.
During the event, chests will have more rare loot with increased chances of getting Legendary items. Also, the increased rarity of the loot will be applicable when you watch a streamer of Twitch open a chest with both of you having the ECHOcast Twitch Extension enabled. The reward via streamer’s chests will be available in the game’s mailbox. Check out the more streamers on official Borderlands Twitch channel.
If you don’t have ECHOcast setup in your game, then follow the given steps:
- If you don’t have a SHiFT account, you can set one up for free at the Gearbox SHiFT site.
- If you don’t have a Twitch account, you can set one up for free by heading over to Twitch and using the “Sign Up” link at the top of the page.
- Linking your accounts is easy. Visit the settings tab on your SHiFT profile page by clicking the little gear icon, click on the Twitch logo under “Connections,” and follow the onscreen instructions to link your account. Alternatively, sign in to your SHiFT account over at the Gearbox SHiFT site, click on “Gaming Platforms” on the left, and then click on the “Link” option under the Twitch logo. You can also click the “SHiFT Account Link” button under the Events tab within the ECHOcast extension itself to navigate to the SHiFT site and link your accounts if you haven’t done so already.
The Rare Chest mini-event will end on Thursday, January 30 at 9:00 AM PT. So don’t forget to open more rare chests as possible.
