PS5, the next-generation console by Sony provides a great gaming experience. Along with the graphics, sound plays an important role. In terms of communication with other fellow players or even your teammates, you get the option to choose between your Party Chat and Game Voice Chat. Are you trying to increase the volume of Party Chat or Game Sound in PS5? Read this article to find out how.

PS5: Adjust Party Chat Volume

To open up the Party Chat instantly on your PlayStation 5, you can quickly press the PS button twice. In this Party Chat menu, you will get the options to regulate the volume of your specific party member or the entire party. Therefore, while accessing the Party Chat, you will be coming across Voice Chat Volume (on the centre). Once you tap on the Voice Chat Volume, you will be coming across a mixer. Slide the mixer towards the right to increase the voice chat volume. You decrease the voice chat volume by sliding the mixer towards the left, which would automatically increase your game volume. To reduce the volume of a specific party member, simply select the respective member and press X. Here, you will get the option of volume to control the mixer of that particular member. Therefore, if a party member’s voice is feeble, you can increase their individual volume from your side. Similarly, if a party member is loud, you can decrease their volume. Along with this, you also get the option to Mute a party member individually.

By pressing the Square button in the Party Chat option, you will be muting the microphones of all members of the respective party. You can increase or decrease the Microphone Volume level from the PS5 quick menu. Once you access the Quick Menu, select the Mic option and you will get the option of Adjust Mic Level. Make the changes in the Microphone based on your preference from here.

Adjust Volume

From the Quick Menu, you can select the Sound option. Under this category, you will get the option of Headphones volume control mixer. Below it, you can find the Voice Chat volume mixer, so make the changes based on your preferences. The Sound option from the quick menu also provides the option of Disabling/Enabling Game Chat Audio. Similarly, media volume like Music and Video can also be adjusted from here.

But if you wish to access the in-game voice chat, you can do this by accessing the Party Chat. Quickly press the PS button twice to open Party chat. Here, you will get to select between your Party chat and Game Voice Chat. Simply select the option based on your preference and press Switch.

Hope this article was able to guide you on how to increase the volume of Party Chat and Game Sound. You can access more content on PlayStation guides, updates, and fixes by heading here.
