RUST is getting better than ever with this July update. There is the introduction of NVIDIA DLSS which will boost your performance by up to 50%.
For those of you who don’t know what RUST is, it is a multiplayer-only survival game where you have to build, collect and protect yourself from other players and dangers present in-game. So if haven’t tried it you should definitely give it a go.
Continuing with the update. You can enable DLSS in the graphics setting in the options present in-game.
WHAT Is NVIDIA DLSS?
If you don’t know what is NVIDIA DLSS, it is basically AI rendering technology that uses dedicated tensor core AI processors on GeForce RTX GPU to increase graphics performance greatly.
If you want to enable DLSS. Just download and install the new game driver from NVIDIA. Update your game and enable DLSS setting from the graphics setting in-game and you are good to go.
Why you should enable DLSS?
In competitive games, a player who has higher FPS and refresh rates always has an upper hand as it unlocks the player’s full potential by decreasing overall system latency. The smallest change in the latency affects the total gaming experience very much.
DLSS will help you play your game better while maintaining the image quality same as the native resolution.
In some instances, it will also improve previous anti-aliasing options provided by RUST which increases details in the distant objects and improve anti-aliasing on the game’s massive amount of foliage.
Instantly, your performance will be increased for a superior experience. In testing done by the developers, there is a 50% increase of frame rates at 4K.
The faster performance will give you smoother and overall better gameplay or if you want that above the roof level details and rendering resolution this update will do that.
You can also watch this video to compare the difference yourself.
This DLSS update will be supported by all Nvidia RTX GPUs and is available for all resolutions.
