Minecraft Live 2021 is the second Minecraft Live ever, and hopefully the last one ever too, as we have an offline Minecraft Festival scheduled for 2022, which is more akin to the MINECON event that it has replaced. Either way, Minecraft Live 2021 is all set to be a celebration of this beloved game, and an appreciation of the massive community that has kept it going for so long. It is obvious why anybody who has played Minecraft in their lives would want to watch Minecraft Live 2021: it is a fun event in honour of one of the best games of all time. Additionally, we may also get some info on Minecraft’s future. Let’s take a look at how you can watch Minecraft Live 2021, shall we? Right, let’s get straight into it.
The event was first announced by Minecraft Vanilla Game Director and everyone’s favourite, LadyAgnes herself, Agnes Larsson. Take a look at the video that she announced the event in, below.
While talking about the Caves and Cliffs update, Alex and Agnes revealed that the next big update to the game, 1.18, would be announced at Minecraft Live 2021.
While the event does not as yet have an official date, we can expect the event to take place around the same time as Minecraft Live 2020, which was held on October 3, 2020, meaning a possible October 2021 event date for Minecraft Live 2021.
At last year’s event, not only was the exciting Caves and Cliffs update announced but there were also several votes on new mobs to be added to the game, with the Glow Squid winning the most votes, thus earning the right to be added to the game. The 20-minute Community Pre-Show that was aired before the proceedings began was also extremely emotional and touching, exactly how it should’ve been.
Just as last year’s Minecraft Live, you can watch the event live by streaming it on YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, and Minecraft.net! We hope you enjoy this year’s event.
