Is there a Back 4 Blood Nintendo Switch release date ?

Back 4 Blood is an upcoming multiplayer first-person shooter and the spiritual successor to Left 4 Dead, slated for release on October 12, 2021. It will feature several gameplay mechanics that will be carrying over from Left 4 Dead, with 4 player co-operative games and 8-player player vs player games. In this article, we will be taking a look at the possibility of Back 4 Blood being released on the Nintendo Switch. Right, let’s get into it.

The game is being developed by Turtle Rock Studios, almost a decade after they split from Valve, the developers of Left 4 Dead all the way back in 2008. Many of the original developers of the game have worked on this game, thus causing it to be considered an unofficial sequel to Left 4 Dead, with its similarly formatted title adding to this idea. A new feature that will be coming to Back 4 Blood is the cards system, where players can assemble a deck of cards that give them certain perks during the game, while the opposition zombies can also use corruption cars to hinder the players’ ability to succeed against them. Notably, there is also a classic mode that will remove all these cards, and thus make the game more accessible to newcomers.

The game is currently scheduled for release on Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, as well as Xbox Series X|S. The closed alpha test for the game was released exclusively on Steam, but it seems as though the game will not, unfortunately, be coming out on the Nintendo Switch. There has been no official announcement about Turtle Rock having any plans to adapt the game to the Nintendo Switch, and seeing as they were unable to finish development of the core game in time for their original June 2021 release, it seems unlikely that they will be able to focus on moving to another platform at this point in time.

We hope you enjoyed this coverage of Back 4 Blood, make sure to check out our other articles on the upcoming Forza Motorsport 8, Demon Slayer Hinokami Keppuutan and F1 2022. Cheers!
