Among Us very quickly rose the charts to become the most popular free multiplayer game in the industry first in 2020, and continues to hold its own right now, and a big reason behind its initial, as well as continuing success, is the way that the devs of the game, InnerSloth, continue to update Among Us with fresh new content and features: in this article, we will be taking a look at the new update to the game that will include a brand new Map 5, and when it could be coming out. Right, let’s get straight into it.
In the Roadmap for Among Us that was released by InnerSloth, a bunch of new features and content was confirmed to be coming to the game, including the long-awaited hide n’ seek mode, as well as the new achievements system which we have covered in another article. However, possibly the biggest new content update coming to the game is the addition of a new map- simply titled for now as Map 5. A teaser image of a button was shown with it, with the caption “This is all they would let me show”.
Obviously, fans online have already started to try and decode what exactly the button means, and many have speculated that it could be referencing a new button in one of the existing maps that will allow players to access a completely new section of say, Mira HQ. While this would be a unique new way to add a map, an expansion to a map does seem quite unlikely. If the button is simply a screengrab from the new map itself, that would mean all theories surrounding the meaning of this button are all far off the mark, unfortunately.
