The action role-playing Dead Island is coming back. The third installment and successor of the horror game Dead Island is set to release. Gamers in Dead Island follow a band of players navigating through a zombie apocalypse. Dead Island 2 is an action role-playing game that will witness its predecessors in terms of gameplay and storyline. However, the setting will go through a change, with the game reportedly set in various parts of California, under a full restricted quarantine zone, due to a zombie outbreak.
Dead Island 2 was initially announced for release back in 2014. The game has changed developing studios thrice. This makes Dead Island 2 as one of the most anticipated games to still be in the pipeline. Initially, Yager Productions took the responsibility for original development. However, that did not work out, hence the plan failed out, due to misunderstandings between Yager and Deep Silver, the publishers of Dead Island 2.
Sumo Digital, later on, took charge of the production and worked on the development for 3 years. Around 2019, THQ Nordic reported about the development of the game has to go through another change again. Now the baton exchange goes to Dambuster Studios, an in-house studio coming under Deep Silver themselves.
Dead Island 2 Release Date for PS5, Xbox Series X, PC: When Is It Coming Out

For now, Dead Island 2 has been confirmed for Sony’s PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows and the Xbox One. But looking at the late arrival and changes in Developing Studios, Dead Island 2 under Dambuster Studio are looking for Game Programmer at all levels and a Senior Producer. Dead Island 2 developers are working on the production of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox X and S series version.
