Amazon Flex refers to a program where independent contractors like delivery partners deliver the order of Amazon. Millions of items can be found through Amazon which includes electronics, household essentials and others. Delivery partners use vehicles for delivering packages to Amazon customers. Three types of deliveries are made – Amazon.in, Prime Now and Store Orders.
There is no doubt that Amazon is one of the most loved and well-known e-commerce sites of India and also offers entertainment and delivery related benefits through Amazon Prime. But despite this, Amazon Flex faces a lot of errors time to time. One of the errors is the error code 503. Normally, this error is termed as ‘Service Unavailable’. The error indicates a performance problem in the origin server. In some situations, it indicates that CloudFront cannot fulfill a request temporarily because of resource constraints in an edge location. This error is generated by CloudFront when origin server gets overloaded with incoming requests. The error is common when your do load testing on CloudFront distribution.
But the error has irritated the users of Amazon Flex. Users said that they faced the problem when they were refreshing offers. Despite having a strong internet connection, the issue has occurred again and again. Also a few users who faced the error 503 issue said that a message popped up on their screen saying that they cannot load the page and all the servers of Amazon are busy right now. Users of Amazon Flex have used various techniques to solve this problem but none of them worked. Still, if you wish to solve the issue by yourself, you can follow these steps –
Check the data connection and connect to Wi-Fi
Amazon Flex needs to communicate with the servers for providing real time updates with anyone’s location, delivery block availability and package status. It means that the required amount of bandwidth sometimes exceeds more than what your phone can provide and if you are in a place with poor network connection. Amazon Flex can freeze or hang in this situation and so the best thing is to ensure that you have a strong internet connection.
Restart the app
If internet connection is not the issue, the problem might be temporary. So, if you are using iOS, double tap in the home screen and it will open a screen where you can swipe left and right to various apps that are running in background. Select Amazon Flex, swipe up to the screen and there will be the option of ‘Fly Away’. In Android, open ‘Settings’ and go to ‘Apps’ in the device section. Tap on the icon of Amazon Flex and choose ‘Force Stop’. Then click on OK to complete the shutdown. Restart the app and see if the issue has been solved or not.
Restart the phone
If restarting the app does not fix the problem, restart your phone. Remember that you have to completely switch off the phone and not just put it to sleep. This technique works in most situations.
Reinstall Amazon Flex
Amazon Flex app might have been loaded with a lot of data and so, you should consider reinstalling it again. Remove the app from your phone and download it again from Google Play Store and see if the problem has been solved or not.
