Different data miners have made the superb discovery of a small slew of content. This leak seems to look like a potential season 7, nothing is however validated by Infinity Ward or Activision! What a mystery for the future of Modern Warfare! The new opus and the integration of Warzone on it cast a lot of shadow on the old opus of 2019. Rumours were circulating that it would be possible to see a season 7 looming for Modern Warfare, but Infinity Ward and Activision are very silent on the subject.
However, the veil is slowly starting to fall with various leaks from the latest Modern Warfare update on December 16. It appears that small files for weapons, maps and operators have been located by ModernWarzone and BKT00R.

To summarize the leaks, it could be that two new faces are added on Modern Warfare including Sparks from Modern Warfare 2: Ghost and Soap from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare according to ModernWarzone.
Why do we say it strongly resembles a new season? Because this same leaker also found 3 new weapons as well as 4 new multiplayer maps :
- The SMG Skorpion
- LMG RAAL
- The Sykov pistol
- Two new skirmish maps: Townhouse and Drainage
- Two new 6v6 maps: Killhouse and Al-Raab Airbase
As announced just before, no answer was given by Activision concerning a sequel for the Modern Warfare adventure. As argued by our colleagues GamingIntel, people think that this content is reserved for the potential Modern Warfare 2 which may see the light of day next year, but again, these are just rumours and we do not know at all what will be the future of Modern Warfare.
