TFT mid-set update (set 4.5) leak reveals new champions, origins and classes

Riot has made official the Champions and Traits that will be removed with the arrival of TFT Set 4.5. It’s now official: 20 Champions, 3 Classes and 3 Origins will be removed when Teamfight Tactics Set 4.5 arrives. Riot Games formalized the list on Twitter.

Check out the Leaked list of champions from TFT Set 4.5

20 champions and 6 traits removed in TFT mid-set update (Set 4.5)

F's in the chat for Dusk, Moonlight, Tormented, Shade, Hunter, and Dazzler champions who won't be joining the Festival of Beasts. Zed, Kindred, and Morgana will reprise their roles in the second half! Honestly, good for them. pic.twitter.com/OL3nAKOU9t

First, the publisher of TFT announced that 6 traits will disappear:

  • Twilight Being (Dusk),
  • Tormented,
  • Selenite (Moonlight),
  • Hunter,
  • Mesmer (Dazzler),
  • Shadow (Shade).

However, it should be noted that Zed, Kindred, Morgana and Diana will stay, with different traits. Mortdog, the lead designer of the game, has communicated on the list of champions who will say their goodbyes.

Nami, Hecarim, Xin Zhao, Jhin, Jinx, Ahri, Lissandra, Aphelios, Sylas, Vayne, Thresh, Cassiopeia, Riven, Lillia, Kayn, Evelynn, Ashe, Warwick, Lux, and Ezreal

20 Champs! Removed!! It's crazy!!

(and Diana is NOT being removed…) https://t.co/HuAW4Pfedo

The 20 deleted champions are therefore as follows: Nami, Hecarim, Xin Zhao, Jhin, Jinx, Ahri, Lissandra, Aphelios, Sylas, Vayne, Thresh, Cassiopeia, Riven, Lillia, Kayn, Evelynn, Ashe, Warwick, Lux and Ezreal.

This rotation is much greater than in the previous Set, during which only 9 champions were deleted. Also, Riot had announced earlier in the year that the number of available champions will stay the same throughout the set, so we can expect 20 new champions with mid-season patch.

Set 4.5 official release date

As teased earlier, the official date of Set 4.5 has now been made official: it will be available in patch 11.2, on Wednesday, January 20, 2021. He would appear on the PBE about two weeks earlier.
What are your theories on new champions, traits, and origins? Now is the time to let your imagination run wild, we’ll be happy to hear your ideas on Digistatement Twitter!
