CD Projekt employees will be able to take advantage of the end-of-development bonus, regardless of the Metacritic score given to the game that has been talked about a lot, especially for these multiple unexpected bugs. The developers of Cyberpunk 2077 will not have lost everything, Jason Schreier announces in a new Bloomberg survey that they will receive the famous bonus, which presented itself as the carrot at the end of the stick, regardless of the Metacritic score note.
“ We originally went for a rating-based bonus system for the game after its release date, but upon reflection, we believe this measure just isn’t right under the current circumstances. ” – Adam Bodwski, CEO of CD Projekt
The development team went through what is called a crunch to complete on time the optimization of the game that has been a fantasy game of the year for months. A practice widely criticized, and rightly so, because it reduces employees to cattle. Result of the races: the game is very poorly optimized on PS4 and has a lot of bugs which are much more important than on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (that is to say), for lack of time to really polish the game. Twitter jokes even popped up with a pretty funny hashtag: Cyberbug76, in reference to Bethesda’s flop with Fallout 76, another almost unplayable bug nest. The situation is such that CD Projekt announced the availability of reimbursement for physical and digital copies of the game.
Remember that the developers worked 6 days a week, sometimes with endless hours, for several months. Some testimonials claim that tokens were given to the most deserving and those with the most might have a better bonus than others – much like the system of pictures or little stars when we were in elementary school and doing well. our homework … A practice to say the least sickening, and a system which tends to make forget the human being in front of the keyboard.
