Qualcomm Snapdragon is the 2nd best smartphone processor manufacturing company, while Apple’s Bionic chip still ranks first. Most of the Android devices are powered by Snapdragon SoC. Snapdragon chips use the ARM Cortex CPU and high powered Kryo cores in their SoC’s.
The latest SoC in the Snapdragon 870 series, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 is confirmed to unveil in December this year. Just a few weeks before its release, we have a leak regarding the performance of the SD875 chip.
A twitter user Digital Chat Station shared the benchmark score of Qualcomm Snapdragon 875. He posted a tweet that,
Snapdragon 875 new machine from a certain factory ran the actual test, the engineering machine can not run GB5, it runs GB4 single-core 4.9K±, multi-core 14k±. For reference, Snapdragon 865GB4 single-core 4.3k, multi-core 13k.

The Snapdragon 875 benchmark score for the GB4 single-core is 4.9K+, while for the multi-core it is 14K+. For reference, the benchmark score for various chips is mentioned below.
Name of the Chip | Single-Core Performance | Multi-Core Performance |
Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 | 4300 | 13000 |
Apple Bionic A12X | 5030 | 17995 |
Kirin 990 | 3842 | 11644 |
Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 | 4700+ | 14000+ |
We can clearly see that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 is better than Kirin 990, Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, but it is still behind Apple’s Bionic A12X chip.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 chip is expected to feature the same 1+3+4 configuration similar to its predecessors, but with a Cortex-X1 Super core, three Cortex-A78, and four Cortex-A55 cores.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765 & 750 features 5G, so it is obvious that the SD875 will also come with 5G and it may be among the first chipsets to use ARM’s latest, high-performance Cortex-X1 core.
