Arc Raiders has been gaining traction as a looter shooter game. However, as the game is still fresh, there are certain issues and bugs troubling players. This article discusses the online connection error which has been reported recently. We are mentioning a list of all possible troubleshooting steps that you can try. It’s not necessary to try them all, usually one or two of these steps fixes the issue.
Arc Raiders online connection error: How to fix it
- Open settings on your device and under the ‘Time & Language’ tab, click on ‘Date & Time’. Ensure that ‘Set time and time zone automatically’ are toggled ON. Click on ‘Sync Now’ and then go to ‘Language & Region’ tab. Select your country, restart device and relaunch game.
- Close third party apps running in the background through task manager. Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open it but don’t close necessary background functions.
- Check for server maintenance announcements in game’s media platforms.
- Try switching networks or reconnecting to the same network.
- Open ‘Control Panel’ and go to ‘Network and Internet’. Select ‘Network and Sharing Centre’ and click on ‘Internet’. Select ‘Properties’ and click on ‘Internet Protocol version 4’. Click on ‘Properties’ and choose ‘Use the following DNS server’. Type 8.8.8.8 in preferred DNS and 8.8.4.4 in the alternate DNS. You can also try 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 as the respective DNS. Select ‘Validate Settings’ and click on ‘OK’.
- From the same settings, you may also uncheck the box for Internet Protocol version 6.
- Find the game in Steam library and right- click on it. Select ‘Properties’ and choose to ‘Verify Integrity’ under the ‘Installed Files’ tab.
- In the search box in your taskbar, type ‘Command Prompt’. Right-click on it and choose to run as administrator. Type the commands given below, one at a time and press enter. After you’ve entered all commands, restart device and run the game.
- ipconfig /flushdns
- ipconfig /release
- ipconfig /renew
- netsh winsock reset
- netsh int ip reset
- netsh interface ipv4 reset
- netsh interface ipv6 reset
- netsh interface tcp reset
