The player permanently retains unlocked maps, workshop stations, codex entries, raider tokens, cred, raider deck progress, active leaderboards, trials, cosmetics, personal event progress and bonus skill points. Stash upgrade progress, inventory items, blueprint, coins, player level, skill points, raider den, workshop and quest will be reset.
Respec is done through an event known as expedition that is available after level 20. These expeditions are dedicated towards an ongoing project beyond the rust belt. Players participate in this by completing certain tasks and sending their character off to an expedition in an 8 week cycle. The first expedition in the game is based on construction and supply and will be active from October 30 to December 14, 2025. During this period, complete the required tasks to make your character ready for the expedition. From December 15 to 20 will be the finalization period when the players who have completed the tasks can sign up for expedition. The respec will happen on December 21 when the expedition launches.
