Out of these, Clairen and Orcane have received major changes in their mechanics. For Clairen, the changes were focused on her tippers, such as Forward Tilt, Up Tilt, Forward Air, etc. It was a mix of buffing and nerfing for Clairen, all to get balanced gameplay. On the other hand, Orcane’s burst movement speed and recovery were modified. The developers stated that although Orcane has great capability, he is difficult to pilot. Hence, the changes ensure that his moves do not get limited to fundamentals because of the hindrance.
Closely following these two is Maypul, who has received significant modifications herself. Since she is undeniably a strong contender, her abilities needed to be toned down to keep the gameplay fair. The targeted strengths were strong recovery, ease of marking of opponents, ability to wall out with Forward Tilt, etc.
Apart from character enhancements, many changes affecting the gameplay, in general, were introduced. This includes bug fixes, movement options, combat tactics, etc. Gauging from all these changes, players might need to improvise their strategies and choose characters thoughtfully before approaching combat. The developers also notified that these changes will not apply to the Collision 2025 event.
