Is Beatstar shutting down in 2025?

Beatstar is, or rather, was a mobile rhythm game where players tap and swipe to the beat of popular songs. It had a huge collection of popular songs that could be enjoyed in a new way. New songs could be unlocked through progression in the game or in-app purchases. The user data is saved through the Supercell ID, and the game requires an internet connection to play. However, the company responsible for managing the game decided to shut it, possibly due to financial losses. This article covers the date of closing and what the company had to say about Beatstar.

Is Beatstar shutting down in 2025?

Nextbeat announced that both the Beatstar and Country Star servers will be taken down on October 31, 2025. The announcement can be seen on their X account’s post. The players would still be able to play normally with their current purchases. However, further content purchasing has been disabled, and players who made any purchase in the last 30 days will receive getting refund. The refund can be initiated only if the purchase was made between July 18 to August 18, 2025. However, the players need to request it before October 31. You will need to contact their support team via the in-game support portal for further processing.

It is with great sadness that we have made the tough decision to stop development on Beatstar as of October 31 2025.

We’d like to take a moment to thank you all for an amazing 4 years. Thank you for sharing your feedback, your fun ideas, song and artist suggestions and… pic.twitter.com/c6SmXPeSC6

The events and season passes have been extended till the last date, and many changes have been introduced to allow the players to enjoy till the game is taken down. The developers have made it clear that there are no plans to revive the game in the future. Moreover, it will not be available on private servers or be sold to other companies.

That will be all from Digistatement. The news is indisputable, and there will be no changes in this regard, as stated by Nextbeat. However, they have said that their social media account will remain active for the time being, and we will keep an eye out for any updates. Till then, visit us and stay tuned.
