BF6 twitch drops not working: What to do?

As a part of its early access program for Battlefield 6, EA has collaborated with Twitch to give away access codes. With about 2 months remaining in the official release of the game, this strategy has created quite the hype in the market. Players have been searching for ways to get the codes early; however, most have hit a wall. There seems to be a problem with Twitch in processing the connection of accounts and code distribution. This could be due to lots of accounts being connected through EA, thus overwhelming the server. Whatever the case may be, ensure that you have completed all the steps properly that make you eligible for the code. In this article, we have listed the criteria a player must fulfil to get the code, so read on.

BF6 Twitch drops not working: What to do?

To claim the Twitch drops, players need to watch a stream on Twitch for a set duration. The detailed steps are given below:

  • Firstly, you need to ensure that the EA and Twitch accounts are linked to each other. To link your EA and Twitch accounts, you can follow the steps below:
  • Open the Twitch linking page of EA and log in with your Twitch account.
  • Select the authorize option and then log in to your EA account.

Next, open Twitch and search for Battlefield 6 streamers who have the ‘Drops enabled’ tag.

Watch their stream for a specific time, usually 30 minutes, to get the code in the Drops inventory.

Visit the Battlefield 6 website and check for code redemption. Enter the code here and select the redeem option.

Apart from gaining early access, players can also receive various item skins for use in the game. The criteria might differ slightly, but it’s as follows:

  • 1 hour for Mimic weapons package
  • 2 hours for Landslide soldier skin
  • 3 hours for Shattered vehicle skin
  • 4 hours for Imperial soldier skin

Even after following these steps, players have complained about not receiving any code. The progress bar for watch time does not seem to move for some reason. Twitch has recognized the issue and issued a message on their website regarding the same. The message can be viewed through this link on Twitch. The exact availability of updates regarding this problem cannot be ascertained. However, we can hope for the best and possibly an extension of the dates through which this feature will be available.

That will be all from Digistatement. We have gathered the latest information on this topic and will keep you posted about any developments. For further news, visit us and stay tuned.
