Fisher-Price controller cheat codes and details

The Fisher-Price controller is a toy made for children’s entertainment as well as learning. It has two gaming modes, a D-pad with number buttons, and a joystick for toggling songs. But a rather amusing fact that might be unknown to some people is the inclusion of a cheat. In this article, we are going to cover what this cheat is about and how it works.

Fisher-Price controller cheat codes and details

There is only one code that this toy is tuned to recognise. You can call it a cheat code or an easter egg, but the technical term is the Konami code. This is a famous code used in many games developed by Kazuhisa Hashimoto at Konami. It was first used in the 1986 game Gradius on the Nintendo Entertainment System. Since then, its popularity has increased exponentially, and it has become a part of the gaming culture. It grants certain buffs, power-ups, or items in-game to make the gameplay easier.

This doesn’t mean that the Fisher-Price controller or other related toys are influenced by any sort of Japanese culture. This has simply been included in a child’s toy in the form of an easter egg. Upon entering the code, you can hear sounds from another famous game, Mario. The hint for using the code is mentioned on its packaging box. There are slight variations to the code that depend on the game it’s being used for. However, for the Fisher-Price controller, there is only one standard sequence of code. The full Konami code is

UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, B, A, START.

You should hear the Mario sound after you finish entering the code. That will be all from Digistatement. From major gaming titles to simple kids’ games, we cover all the relevant topics of interest. Therefore, visit us if you have any queries or doubts, and stay tuned.
