Snail shells in Grounded 2 are sturdy material resources that can be used to craft three things. The snail shell casque, plastron, and greaves can be crafted using this item. The most eyecatching item for players in the current version of the game is the casque or armor. It’s a tier III item and will give enhanced protection from enemies. However, crafting it is another story, as the snail shells themselves are difficult to harvest. The developers have intended this item for use in the winter update. Even so, players have come up with creative ideas to harvest the shells and craft the armor. The tier III hammer is most effective in breaking and harvesting the snail shells. However, due to its unavailability, you can try an alternative, i.e., collecting the snail shells from chests. The location of the chests is given below, so make sure to check them out.
How to get snail shells in Grounded 2?
- At the Ranger Outpost statue, you can get the fragments in a chest.
- There are also snail shells in the chests near the statue.
- Inside the lab that you encounter during the networking quest, there are chests on levels 01 and 04 that have the snail shells.
- The level above 04 also has a chest with the fragments in the Network centre lab.
Another way to harvest the shells is by using an O.R.C. Weevil. You’ll have to improvise the timing such that it explodes near the snail shell. If you get it correct, 2-3 weevils should do the trick, and you will be able to harvest the fragment. Although this method might soon get detected and the developers might add some fixes in the next patch. You can try either of the methods recommended above.
Other items required to craft the armor are listed in this paragraph. You will need Lingonberry chunks to craft Lingonberry leather. Garden snail eyestalk can be harvested from adult snails and is a random drop, so you have to keep trying. You will need web fiber to unlock the spinning wheel and silk rope. Thereafter, you need to make the silk rope using a spinning wheel. You will also need an acid gland, and that should be the last item needed for crafting. After ensuring that you have every item available, you craft the armor.
