While exploring the eerie world of R.E.P.O. to collect valuable resources, you will notice that your flashlight is quite a handy tool. Without it, you won’t be able to see the majority of the in-game world, as it gets quite dark at times. But when a monster is tailing you, and you need to get to a location and hide, you wouldn’t want your flashlight to be on and help the monster locate you. In that case, turning off the flashlight is what you’d want. However, if you didn’t already know, you can’t turn it off directly. Consider reading this guide for all the details regarding how to turn off the flashlight in the game.

The monsters in R.E.P.O. come in all shapes and forms. The gnomes are cute little creatures that are notoriously known for destroying loot, while the Mentalist is known to deal huge damage when you get close to it. There are tons of other monsters in the game at every level, and hiding from them is your only chance to complete levels. That said, your flashlight can be the difference maker in this situation. If you leave it turned on, it might give away your position. So, how to disable it?

Well, there is no way to directly disable the flashlight in R.E.P.O., as this mechanic is tied to the game’s crouch feature. When you press the crouch button in the game, your character, of course, crouches and then disables the flashlight. So, to turn it off, you will need to keep crouching. How to crouch? It is the default Ctrl key that allows crouching in R.E.P.O. Another way to disable it is by using the tumble feature. All you need to do is press the Q key, and your character will enter the tumble state; immobile and short. This will also result in the flashlight turning off.

With that said, now you know all about how to disable flashlight in R.E.P.O. We hope that you find this guide informative. If you did, consider visiting DigiStatement daily for more such interesting content on all things gaming.
