As of now, it seems that the inclusion of any form of multiplayer co-op mode in A Game About Digging A Hole won’t be happening anytime soon. Back in Dec 2024, an interested player asked a similar query on the game’s Steam Discussion forum about the inclusion of co-op. To this, a moderator named Listoric shared the following:

While this is a pretty open statement that gives rise to a lot of possibilities, note that this statement was made back in December 2024. Ever since then, there has been no information or follow-up on this matter. Now, this can mean two things. Either the developer is secretly working on a multiplayer mode, or they have given up on this. For now, there is no convincing evidence to prove anything so this is all just speculation from our side and should be taken with a pinch of salt.
That said, we will make sure to update this article with the latest information on the matter as soon as new updates are released.
