In recent years, the release of co-op survival games has been quite frequent, and for good reasons. Similarly, a new game titled Aloft has made its way to the global audience via its early access release. It is a sandbox co-op survival where you, as a player, can transfer any island into a flying base. You can then use this base to traverse the vast world, fight the fungal corruption that plagues the world, and much more. Now, while all this sounds interesting, you might be wondering about the platforms Aloft supports, since you are reading this. Well, if you are indeed wondering whether handheld systems like the Steam Deck, Asus Rog Ally, and Lenovo Legion Go can run Aloft, consider reading until the very end for all the answers.

Handhelds have come a long way since their initial inception. From the Nintendo Switch, which is now at the end of its life cycle, to the newly released handhelds like the MSI Claw and Ayaneo Flip DS, the leap in hardware specifications has been huge. Most of these powerful handhelds can run any PC game. But not all are that capable. Consider the Steam Deck. Released back in 2022, it is still rocking the 2-year-old hardware that falls significantly behind when compared to its competitors. The Rog Ally and Legion Go are somewhat better than the Deck, but they too struggle to run AAA titles at the maximum FPS. That said, let’s find out whether these handhelds can run Aloft.

Steam Deck

As of now, Aloft is neither listed as Playable or Verified for the Steam Deck. But this doesn’t mean that the game can’t be played on the handheld. In fact, the developers have shared that Aloft runs on the Steam Deck, but there is no native support for now. Player reports also confirm the fact that you can indeed run Aloft on the Deck. Coming to the FPS, you should be getting close to 25-35 FPS in the game, and that’s on the lowest settings. For a co-op survival game, 30+ FPS is considered playable. So, if you have a Deck, try this game out. You won’t be disappointed.

Asus Rog Ally and Lenovo Legion

Compatibility-wise, there is no restriction that would prevent the game from working on the Rog Ally and Legion Go. Unlike the Deck, these handhelds run on Windows, so most PC games are automatically compatible with them. When it comes to FPS, considering that these handhelds have slightly better hardware than the Deck, you can expect high FPS in the range of 40-45 while running Aloft on the Asus Rog Ally and Lenovo Legion Go. This is dependent on the graphics settings scheme in use.

That being said, you now know all about the Steam Deck, Asus Rog Ally, and Lenovo Legion Go support details of Aloft. If you find this article informative, consider visiting DigiStatement daily for more such interesting reads.
