WWE 2K24 Save File Location: Where is it

WWE 2K24 Save File Location: Where is it

The yearly release of the WWE 2K series continues with the recent launch of WWE 2K24. Developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K, the game was officially released on March 8, 2024, for PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X/S|One, and Windows. Reviews for it so far have been mostly positive, with many calling it better than last year’s 2K23. Unfortunately, every WWE 2K release over the past few years has been marred with a myriad of issues and WWE 2K24 continues that tradition. A major issue that’s currently affecting players is that players, especially early access ones, are getting their save files deleted. In light of this issue, the community has started to recommend making a backup of the game’s save files and this guide here will help you locate them.

Even outside of this issue, it is always recommended to have a backup of your saves. You never know when you might need it. While the chances of your save files getting corrupted or wiped are rare, they can still happen due to a myriad of reasons, ranging from the players themselves accidentally deleting a save to a bug or error wiping off your progress. And considering the number of technical issues with WWE 2K24 currently, having a backup of your saved files will be of great help. So, where’s the save file location? Well, let’s go ahead and find out.

WWE 2K24 Save File Location: Where is it

WWE 2K24 Save File Location: Where is it

Well, it’s pretty easy to find WWE 2K24’s save files. However, if you haven’t done this kind of thing before, we highly suggest you follow the instructions mentioned below carefully.

  • First, open File Explorer and open This PC > C drive.
  • In the next window, select Program Files (x86) and find the folder named Steam.
  • Once found, open the Steam folder and then the Userdata folder.
  • Next, open the folder with your Steam ID and inside there will be a number of other folders. Select the one named 2315690 and open it.
  • Inside, you will find the remote folder. Open the former and you will find all your saved files there.

Remember, the save file path should resemble something like this: This PC/OS (C:)/Program Files (x86)/Steam/userdata/[YourSteamID]/2315690/remote.

By the way, if you want to access configuration files, go to Documents and open the WWE2K24 folder. Inside it, there will be a single file called config. This is the game’s configuration file. Open it with a text editor and edit it if you like.

Make sure you make a backup of your saved files at regular intervals. Visual Concepts has yet to address the issue with the game deleting save files so having a backup of your saves should help you avoid a lot of potential problems.

And that’s all the information we have on this. Additionally, you can also take a quick look here if you want to know where Helldivers 2’s save files are located. Lastly, for more such content, keep following DigiStatement. Also read: WWE 2K24 crashing on Steam Deck: How to fix it?
