There are a lot of great games coming this year, and among them is a little niche title called Expeditions: A MudRunner Game. Developed by Saber Interactive and published by Focus Entertainment, Expeditions has been announced for a March 5, 2024, release, and fans are filled to the brim with excitement. Pre-orders are live for the game and many fans have already started pre-ordering. With almost a month and a half away from release, there’s still some information on Expeditions that players are waiting to hear about. And one of those is the game’s Steam Deck support details.
The Steam Deck has been getting more popular by the day, and it’s only evident that users would want to know whether an upcoming game will be supported on the Deck or not. The library of Deck Verified titles continues to increase, so Mudrunner series fans are hoping Expeditions gets added to that library too. So, what’s the status of Expeditions: A MudRunner Game’s Steam Deck support? Well, without much further ado, let’s go ahead and find out all about that.
Expeditions A MudRunner Game Steam Deck Support: Is it available
As of now, we are yet to get any announcements or details regarding Expeditions: A MudRunner Game being officially supported on the Steam Deck. However, as we stated before, the game is scheduled for a March 5, 2024, release, and as such, Saber Interactive could release Steam Deck support details later on.
While we don’t have any official announcements, we are quite confident that Expeditions: A MudRunner Game will be playable on the Deck, even if it doesn’t receive the Deck Verified badge. And there are several good reasons for that. For starters, besides the Epic Games Store, Expeditions will also be releasing on Steam, which enhances the chances of running the game on the Deck. Apart from that, the reason we are so confident about Expeditions being playable on the Steam Deck is that the previous MudRunner game runs quite well on it.
Both MudRunner and SnowRunner can be played comfortably on the Deck, and MudRunner itself is a verified title on the Steam Deck. So, even if Expeditions: A MudRunner Game doesn’t get the verified tag, it should be able to run with some tweaks. However, do note that Saber Interactive has yet to release PC requirements for the game, and if the minimum requirements turn out to be high, then running the game on the Deck could prove troublesome. And so, all fans of the series can do right now is just take a wait-and-see approach until more information on Expeditions: A MudRunner Game is released. It will be a while, but that’s all you can do right now.
