Behaviour Interactive’s Dead by Daylight has entered Year 8 and will soon touch that decade milestone. The Montreal-based video game development studio continues to work hard on DBD, putting out some amazing content with each major update. Its latest one introduced the sinister doll – Chucky as a killer in the game, and the studio also added Nic Cage as a new winter outfit. What we do know officially is that the release of Chapter 30.5 will be in January 2024 (probably on January 30, 2024), which will include a new survivor. Chapter 31, on the other hand, will arrive in March 2024 as per the official Year 8 roadmap provided by Behaviour Interactive and will introduce a new Killer and Survivor.
According to this tweet by known DBD leaker dvveet, Chapter 30.5 will introduce the following in-game:
- New survivor (like we stated before)
- An FOV slider
- Graphical rework of the Swamp
- Onryo rework
- Hillbilly rework
- Blight Add-on rework
- Solution to 3-Gen
- And lastly, perk updates – Grim Embrace, Quick Gambit, STBFL, Monitor and Abuse, Shadowborn
Dvveet further goes on to state in the tweet that the Public Test Builds for Chapter 30.5 will open on January 9 or 10, with the live release on January 30th. Furthermore, Tome 18 will also see its release the following day, on January 31.
Additionally, LeaksByDaylight, another prominent DBD leaker, has communicated that DBD will collaborate with The Walking Dead for the upcoming Chapter 30.5, with rumors flying about both Rick Grimes and Michonne coming in to promote the new The Walking Dead TV series. LeaksbyDaylight also talked about Chapter 31, saying that it will not be a licensed chapter and will instead be an original one. Moreover, a spring event is also scheduled to release, along with Mystery Boxes and Special Packs. So, in the upcoming weeks, more details related to Chapters 30.5 and 31 will be made public, which is why you should keep an eye on the updates.
