Dave the Diver is the most recent indie darling of 2023. Developed by South Korean video game development studio Mintrocket, the game has garnered a lot of deserved praise for its gorgeous art style, relaxing music, and simple yet interesting gameplay. In Dave the Diver, you play as Dave, an overweight diver who catches fish and explores the depths of the sea by day and runs a restaurant by night. And as such, catching different kinds of fish is a top priority. Now, catching some is very easy, but there are some exotic ones that will give you a hard time. Dave the Diver Tiger Tail Seahorse: How to get, find & catch
The Tiger Tail Seahorse is a rare find in Dave the Diver and, as such, can be a particularly hard catch. In the game, it is a rank 5 fish, making it one of the higher-ranked ones. Now, unlike other fish types in the game, you will not be able to catch Seahorses using the Net Gun or other fishing weapons or tools. Instead, players need to use the Bug Net to catch a Seahorse.
Get Bug Net
To get the Bug Net, you will have to complete a request (the Reticent Girl quest). That’s right! You can’t just go and buy the Bug Net from Duff or get it from a weapon cache. Well, Maki will show up at the sushi bar at the end of Chapter 2. Once she arrives, you will be requested by her to make Kombu and White Trevally Ochazuke. The ingredients for making these are:
- 3x White Trevally
- 1x Kelp
- 1x Soy Sauce
Gather and cook the meal for Maki, and she will give you the Bug Net. Now, all you need to catch a Seahorse is to go near it and press the “catch button”. Do note that you will need to be on top of the Seahorse to catch it.
Find Tiger Tail Seahorse
The Tiger Tail Seahorse can be found inside the shipwreck area where the Giant Squid boss fight took place. It’s pretty easy to navigate, so you wouldn’t have much trouble getting there. However, since it’s a rare spawn, a lot will depend on your luck too. Additionally, the Tiger Tail Seahorse often spawns in depths of 50–130 m. So, explore the sea, head to the area as mentioned, and look for this creature. If you find it, use your Bug Net to capture it.
