Oxenfree 2: Lost Signals is now available for players to enjoy. Announced back in September of 2021 during Nintendo’s Indie World Showcase, the game went through several delays before finally launching on July 12, 2023. While the game has certainly been getting quite a positive reception from both critics and long-time fans, it does suffer from some minor issues. One of them is the Walkie-Talkie not working issue in the game.
While this is certainly an annoying issue, you don’t have to worry much about it. Issues like these are pretty much expected, especially for newly released titles. No matter how much effort is poured into finding and crushing bugs by the QA and development teams, they will eventually appear. It’s just how game development works. But that doesn’t mean that these types of issues can’t be fixed. In fact, we have prepared this guide specifically to deal with this particular issue. Let’s see how you can fix the walkie-talkie not working issue in Oxenfree 2: Lost Signals.
Oxenfree 2 (II) Lost Signals Walkie Talkie Not Working Issue: Is there any fix yet
At the time of publishing this article, we are yet to get an official fix for this issue. As per reports, this issue is mostly encountered by players on Android devices. And as such, you can follow these potential workarounds and see if any of them fix the problem.
Restart game –
We always recommend starting with a quick and simple fix, and that is restarting. Do so and see if the issue persists. If it does, proceed to the next workaround.
Use a controller –
If you have been using touch controls as the primary input method, we suggest you try connecting a controller and then using the sticks to scroll the Walkie-Talkie. Using a controller will most likely solve this issue. But if you don’t have a controller at hand, try the next workaround.
Start a new playthrough –
Since this issue will most likely occur during the initial stages of your playthrough, you can start a new playthrough of the game to get rid of it. Now, this might seem like a drastic step, but it’s still better than getting stuck and being able to do nothing.
Update the game –
Frequent hotfixes and patches are quite common after the release of a game. At the time of writing this article, the developers have yet to release any kind of patch or update for the game, but we are quite confident that we will release them soon enough. And maybe one of those will fix this issue. So, make sure that you regularly check for updates.
Reinstall game and submit a ticket to the official team –
If nothing else works, then all you can do is reinstall the game. If the issue persists, you can submit a ticket to the official team regarding this problem. Once the developers are made aware of this issue, they will surely release patch fixes for it. So, visit the official support page of Night School Studio and submit a support ticket describing the issue.
Until an official fix is released, these are the workarounds worth trying. That said, we hope you find this guide informative, and don’t forget to follow DigiStatement for more. Also read: Oxenfree 2 (II) Lost Signals Linux and macOS version Release Date: When is it coming it
