Street Fighter 6 is Capcom’s comeback to the fighting game world and once again establishes itself as one of the best fighting game series out there. One that is only rivaled by equally grand fighting game series like Bandai Namco’s Tekken and NetherRealm Studio’s Mortal Kombat. Released on June 2, 2023, for the PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, the game is a certified masterpiece from Capcom. 2016’s Street Fighter V was a disappointment, so seeing Street Fighter 6 shatter the expectations of fans and critics alike was great. Now, since Street Fighter 6 happens to be a fresh release, there’s a lot about it that players don’t know about. Recently, some players were found asking about how to remove map markers in the game.
Ever since games introduced the idea of maps, map markers have played an important role. For the uninitiated, a map marker as the name itself suggests, is a marker that is used to mark a certain or particular location on a map. Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is one of the best examples of a game with map markers. Since it offers a large game world, the map can be confusing at times if you don’t know where a certain item is found or located. As such, the game offers the player a variety of map markers to mark locations so that they know where and what type of item is located there. In Street Fighter 6, map markers function the same way they do in other games. However, sometimes the map itself can become cluttered due to those markers, plus it’s not like you have unlimited map markers in Street Fighter 6. So, how do you remove these map markers? Let’s find out!
Street Fighter (SF) 6: How to remove map markers
To remove the map markers in Steet Fighter 6, you need to open the in-game map, use the WASD keys instead of your mouse, and move the yellow-colored cursor onto the map marker. Next, press the “B” key on your keyboard. Remember, you need to be right on top of the marker to remove it from the map; otherwise, the existing marker will just reappear in the area where you pressed the B key. If you are playing the game on a console, use the Circle or B button on your controller right on top of the marker to remove it.
