It was initially planned for a 2022 release, but Nintendo had to delay the game further to polish it. Finally, on March 28 of this year, Nintendo released a nearly 14-minute gameplay representation video to showcase the game. Furthermore, Eiji Aonuma, the producer of the series revealed that the development of the game was now complete. So, when is it releasing, and on which platforms?

If there is one company that is very strict on preserving its IP, it’s Nintendo. The company has been criticized many times for shutting down fan projects, sending cease and desist orders, and other stuff like that. It’s the only video game company that has yet to port its flagship titles to platforms like PlayStation, Xbox, and Windows. Based on these facts, we are more than sure that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will remain a Nintendo Switch exclusive for the foreseeable future. The only other console this game will see the light of day will be the Switch’s successor itself. So, if you want to enjoy TotK, better get a Nintendo Switch for yourself.
