Shelgon has been an elusive pokemon for a lot of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet (SV) players. It is a rare pokemon that only spawns in certain locations in the game. Unfortunately for Pokemon Scarlet players, Shelgon is a Violet-exclusive pokemon. So, if you want to add it to your Pokedex, then you will need to trade something equally valuable with a Pokemon Violet player in order to obtain it. Now, as for the Pokemon Violet players who have been unable to find and catch Shelgon, we are here to help you. Below, we will tell you everything you need to know about this Dragon-type pokemon in PSV.
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet (SV) has tons of pokemon. Players will be able to catch a lot of recurring faces. The huge open world of Paldea offers a lot of different locations for these creatures to hide. So, you will spend a considerable amount of time if you want to add a pokemon to your Pokedex. Apart from this, there are some pokemon that are exclusive to Scarlet or Violet. The only way to obtain them is via trading. So, make sure to catch something valuable before you try obtaining Shelgon from a Pokemon Violet player.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet (SV): How to Find, Get & Catch Shelgon?
As we mentioned before, Shelgon only spawns in a few locations in Pokemon Violet. If you wish to find and catch this pokemon, you will need to go to the Alfornada Pokemon Centre. You will find this place in South Province (Area Six). Now, head towards the west direction until you reach the Alfornada Cavern. You will find a white onion-like pokemon there. Now, all you have to do is either throw a Pokeball at it or simply poke it to start a battle. Now if you are unable to find this pokemon in the cave, then leave the place and return after a while.
You can also spot Shelgon in North Province (Area Two). But, we recommend going to the Alfornada Cavern first as that location has a better spawn rate. You can also find and catch Bagon and then level it up to level 30. This will evolve Bagon into Shelgon. While catching Shelgon, make sure to keep an eye on its HP. If you don’t, you’ll need to repeat the whole process if the pokemon faints during the battle. Well, this brings us to the end of this article. We hope that you found it helpful.
