Pokemon Home is the new Pokemon app that acts as a collection and marketplace of pokemon from the newer pokemon games such as Sword and Shield. It also accepts transfers from the Pokemon Go series and the older Nintendo 3DS titles. This app is meant to serve not only as a repository of all the pokemon the player has collected but also as a platform for them to progress and save their progress from various games. In addition to this, it is adding compatibility to make it compatible with current games such as Pokemon Go making it useable on the go and for various purposes. In this article, we will be taking a look at Pokemon Home: How to check IVs?
IVs are stat attributes of pokemon that have been caught to check if they are viable for evolutions. Since all Pokemon games are basically RPGs, there is quite a lot of technicality involved in these games requiring the player to know the optimal and ideal stats of a pokemon before considering evolving it or making sure that the stats for the particular use case are well structured and will benefit from the evolution. All previous Pokemon games and repositories have had the ability to check the IVs of the pokemon before they are evolved into their next forms or traded for a significant in-game payday.
Pokemon Home: How to check IVs?
In order to check the IVs of the pokemon on the Pokemon Home app, players can use different methods that can be followed since the app has different interfaces based on the device being used.
For Nintendo Switch
Navigate to the pokemon whose IV you would like to check and press Y two times consecutively on the information screen in order for the app to show you the IV of the Pokemon. This feature is, however, available only on the Premium version of the app meaning players will have to pay to check the IV of their Pokemon.
For Mobile
You will have to navigate to the information screen and click on the stats button/ icon to make the IVs of the pokemon pop up. This too is a premium exclusive feature meaning players will have to pay for the premium version of the application if they wish to take a detailed look at the stats of their pokemon.
