  1. First and foremost, you have to unlock the ability to tune cars in the game. You can do this by completing the European Classic Compacts Menu 3 in the GT Café.
  2. Next up, you have to make sure that you are at least Collector Level 7.
  3. Then, you have to go to the ‘Tuning Shop’ and click on the ‘Extreme’ tab.
  4. Now, you have to select the ‘Nitro System’ and press to purchase.
  5. After purchasing the Nitro System, you have to go to your garage and select it for your car.
  6. Finally, you can now use Nitro during a race.

  1. First and foremost, you have to go to the game’s ‘Options’ in the main menu.

  3. Then, you can see that the Nitro button is by default set to holding down the “Right Stick” and pressing the “R3” button. You can now change this action to another button on your controller.
  4. When you activate Nitro in a race, you can see a meter in the bottom-right corner of the HUD that says ‘NITRO’. This means that you can now use Nitro in the game.
  5. Finally, you have to simply press your assigned nitrous button to use Nitro in the game.
