Getting the DayZ Expansion Mod offline in Single-player
The first step to getting this expansion offline involves downloading some files. You can download them through this link.
Installing the DayZ expansion
Once these files have been downloaded, you’ll need to paste these files into your Steam directory. Follow along to do the needful:
- Locate your Steam directory
- Open steamapps
- Locate the common folder and open it
- Click on DayZ
- Find the missions folder and paste your newly downloaded files inside it.
Configuring offline mode
Now, that your files have been pasted, all that’s left to do is install a few additional mods to get the game up and running in offline mode.
You can find mods in the DayZ Steam workshop. Once you have your mods downloaded you can move on to configuring your game. Here’s how you do it:
- Launch DayZ through Steam, this will open up the DayZ launcher.
- Go to the “Mods” section and search for the mods you just installed
- Tick the mods you’ve newly installed and make sure all other mods are left unticked
- In the “All Parameters” section. Set a path to where you pasted the files you downloaded earlier.
- Select this folder and you’re all set to go
